When you’re prepping for an adventure into the great outdoors, you need a vehicle that can handle all your gear and deliver the performance you need for challenging terrains. The 2021 GMC Terrain is one of the 16 Best Cars for Camping in 2021, according to U.S. News & World Report.
“If you’re headed for the beach instead of the woods, the 2021 GMC Terrain has a fold-flat front passenger seat that can accommodate long items, like a surfboard. If you need that space for people, passengers will find the cabin has plenty of room to get comfortable in both rows,” according to U.S. News & World Report writer Kristen Hall-Geisler.
Even though you’re escaping the real world to decompress, you’ll appreciate the modern connectivity tech in the 2021 Terrain to help you get to your destination and re-connect when your trip is over. Smartphone integration is simple and seamless with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
No matter where you’re headed, you’ll feel more confident behind the wheel of the GMC Terrain thanks to the GMC Pro Safety suite of safety tech. Under proper conditions, Forward Collision Alert alerts you to potential threats in front of you so you can avoid or minimize an accident. Automatic Emergency Braking will automatically engage the brakes to bolster your stopping power, under proper conditions.

The Buick Encore has a few notable updates for the 2022 model year. Here is a closer look at what you can expect in the well-equipped small SUV, which will be available later this summer at Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase in Memphis, Tennessee.
The 2022 Buick Encore offers one trim level, Preferred, leaving the base trim option a thing of the past. The Encore, which continues to provide comfortable seating and space for five, boasts an MSRP of $25,795 when equipped with FWD, and $26, 415 when equipped with AWD.*
The updated Encore offers increased horsepower and torque ratings for a peppier ride and more enjoyable, responsive performance. The ECOTEC 1.4-liter turbo engine pairs to a six-speed automatic transmission to generate 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. This is a horsepower increase of 17 and torque rating increase of 29 compared to the 2021 Buick Encore.
Other than these changes, the 2022 Buick Encore hits the market relatively unchanged, delivering you the impressive reliability, versatility, and comfort features you expect from the practical SUV.
The 2022 GMC Acadia will get a lot of exciting updates for the new model year. Not only does it ditch the previous model year’s two-row option in favor of a three-row option with a six- or seven-seat layout. But you can also expect updates to engine options and trim levels, among other things.
The 2022 Acadia boasts a more powerful base engine. Instead of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that outputs 193 horsepower, this model gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 that produces 228 horsepower, for more potency without sacrificing efficiency.
Thrill-seekers should choose the available 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Delivering robust performance, this engine is available on the SLT trim and standard on the AT4 and the Denali.
For the 2022 model year, GMC has swapped out the base SL trim with the SLE trim. Both of these come standard with an 8-inch touch screen GMC Infotainment System and GMC Pro Safety Plus, a suite of safety technologies including Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Intellibeam headlights.
The SLE and SLT are still followed by the AT4 off-roading trim and the luxury Denali trim. These didn’t get any major upgrades for the new model year — but who’s complaining when these two trims are satisfying just the way they are.

Memphis is known all across the country for its unique, exciting cuisine. But, sometimes, you just don’t feel like getting all dressed up spend the evening at a dine-in restaurant. Thankfully, there’s no shortage of outstanding takeout places in Memphis. Here are a few of our recommendations.
If you live in Memphis, you know what good barbeque tastes like. So do the chefs at Central BBQ, which is located right on Central Avenue. Their meat is marinated for 24 hours, slow-smoked with hickory and pecan, and finished with a secret dry rub. All you have to do is hop in your Enclave, grab some great grub, and bring it back home for date night.
Gus’s World-Famous Fried Chicken
Sometimes, when restaurants advertise themselves as “world-famous,” they don’t have the credentials to back up the claim. Gus’s World-Famous Fried Chicken, on the other hand, has a surplus of bona fides. Its food is so delicious and memorable that it has been featured on multiple popular TV shows, including “Man v. Food” and “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.” That’s a pretty glowing endorsement.
Great takeout food isn’t confined to entrees, and nothing will brighten up a family picnic or tailgate more than the moment you roll up in your Sierra 1500 with a box of delicious doughnuts in tow. And if you’re looking for the best confectionaries in Memphis, you go to Gibson’s. It’s no wonder that they’ve been thriving since 1967.
All of us at Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase are incredibly proud to be a part of the Memphis community. If your Terrain — or any other GM vehicle — is due for maintenance, contact our service department so you can check out these exceptional takeout places safely.

Very few vehicles have had the honor of receiving GM’s new Super Cruise technology — an advanced feature that allows for true hands-free driving on over 200,000 miles of highway in North America. This past December, General Motors announced that the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali pickup truck would be the next to offer the innovative Super Cruise.*
The GMC Denali trim lineup is known for its high-end features and advanced technology, so this is a perfect addition. This near-autonomous driver-assist technology allows you to take your hands off the wheel, and your foot off the gas pedal, for a comfortable experience on compatible highways.
It builds on familiar driver-assist tools like adaptive cruise control, which it uses to handle braking and acceleration. The addition of cameras, sensors, LiDAR map data, and GPS makes it possible for the technology to take care of the steering, too.
Although you can take your hands off of the wheel, you can’t take your eyes off of the road. Super Cruise includes a camera that monitors your behavior to make sure you’re staying attentive to your surroundings. As long as you stay alert and on a compatible highway, Super Cruise will remain active.
For more information on GM Super Cruise, the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali, and when you can expect to see it on our lot in Memphis, keep your eyes on the Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase blog.
Automotive brands spent nearly $5 billion across the board on TV ads in 2019, which helped to spread the word about the latest cars on the market. WardsAuto ranks these ads every year, and, not surprisingly, Buick had the most seen car commercial in terms of views for 2019. The “Mistaken Identity” spot made a massive impression among a variety of groups.
“Mistaken Identity” revolves around the line, “Buick’s new lineup is full of surprises,” and it shows several cases of mistaken identity as Buick vehicles are confused for traditional, uninspired models. Often left scratching their heads, individuals realize they’ve been looking at the wrong car the whole time after being informed that the vibrant, exciting ride in front of them is one of Buick’s refreshed models.
Many car shoppers may not recognize the new, eye-catching Buicks, one reason the ad had a strong impact on viewers. The “Mistaken Identity” ad alone generated 5.7 billion TV ad impressions, and it cost $31.7 million to make and market — about half as much as some of the ads released by other automakers.
If you want to get up close and personal with some of the thrilling new vehicles showcased in the commercial “Mistaken Identity,” swing by Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase and see what all the fuss is about.

The 2019 GMC Terrain AWD SLT trim is one of the most highly sought after versions of this already popular compact SUV. But why is the SLT trim getting so much attention? It’s simple: This model has the style, comfort, and capabilities that any driver is looking for in a crossover SUV, and at an affordable price compared to competitors.
The 2019 Terrain has an available 2.0-liter engine with all-wheel drive, a feature everyone should opt for — especially if you plan on going off-road, according to Pamplin Media. The new Black Edition, in particular, will appeal to those who want something truly bold, as its all-black paint and 19-inch black alloy wheels will make a statement wherever you go.
“The interior was just as nice, with special leather front bucket seats that were wider, and more comfortable, than most competitors. The out-of-date dash has been replaced with a contemporary design that features easy to find and use controls. The upgraded infotainment system is among the best GM has ever offered,” said Jim Redden at Pamplin.
Other great features include the Hill Descent Control system with a low gear for going off-road, as well as an easy-to-use Electronic Precision Shift system in lieu of the traditional shift lever.
