The Buick Encore has a few notable updates for the 2022 model year. Here is a closer look at what you can expect in the well-equipped small SUV, which will be available later this summer at Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase in Memphis, Tennessee.
The 2022 Buick Encore offers one trim level, Preferred, leaving the base trim option a thing of the past. The Encore, which continues to provide comfortable seating and space for five, boasts an MSRP of $25,795 when equipped with FWD, and $26, 415 when equipped with AWD.*
The updated Encore offers increased horsepower and torque ratings for a peppier ride and more enjoyable, responsive performance. The ECOTEC 1.4-liter turbo engine pairs to a six-speed automatic transmission to generate 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. This is a horsepower increase of 17 and torque rating increase of 29 compared to the 2021 Buick Encore.
Other than these changes, the 2022 Buick Encore hits the market relatively unchanged, delivering you the impressive reliability, versatility, and comfort features you expect from the practical SUV.
Many premium vehicles taut their soft-touch seating materials and high-tech infotainment systems, but nothing quite rivals the luxury of road noise isolation. According to U.S. News & World Report, if you’re looking for one of the quietest SUVs in 2021 to enjoy a truly serene driving experience, the new Buick Enclave is a top choice.
“At $40,000, the Buick Enclave is pricey for a mainstream midsize SUV, but that extra money is well spent if you’re seeking a comfortable cabin that filters out road noise,” wrote U.S. News contributor Steven Loveday.
The key to the Enclave’s hushed cabin is QuietTuning™ technology, which strikes at noise from three angles. It reduces noise at the source, blocks noise from getting into the Enclave, and absorbs the noise that does manage to get in.
To achieve this, the Enclave uses acoustic insulation materials under the hood, on the steel dash panel, and in the headliner and doors. It also has an acoustic laminated windshield and side glass, triple sealed doors, and dual-density carpet. And that’s not all: Buick also uses an isolated engine cradle, hydraulic suspension bushings, and specially-tuned tires to reduce vibrations.
Finally, for those pesky sounds that do manage to penetrate all of those barriers, some Buick Enclave models even use Active Noise Cancellation, powered by Bose®, to further ensure that nothing interrupts your good time.
For a better sense of just how quiet the 2021 Buick Enclave can be, test-drive it here at Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase in Memphis, Tennessee!
It’s no secret that Buick has become one of the most popular automotive brands in China during the past few years. But how satisfied are Chinese drivers after purchasing a Buick model? According to a new APEAL study from J.D. Power, very much so.
In fact, Buick was the highest-scoring mass-market brand in the J.D. Power China Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.
The study examined drivers’ excitement and attachment to their newly-purchased vehicles by measuring 37 different attributes, such as infotainment features, safety, and fuel economy. J.D. Power collected responses from more than 32,000 new vehicle owners from the study.
The study’s results found that Buick was the highest-ranking mass-market brand, with a total of 745 points out of a possible 1,000 points. Buick even managed to outrank popular brands like Dongfeng Nissan and FAW Toyota, which came in second-and third-place, respectively.
Individual Buick models also performed well during the study. The Buick Verano finished in first place for the midsize upper economy segment. Meanwhile, the Buick Envision obtained the first-place rank for the coveted midsize SUV segment.
Buick drivers also seem pretty pleased with their purchase over here in the Memphis, Tennessee area. If you’d like to snag a Buick model of your own, feel free to visit Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase.
Buick is taking drivers into the future by honoring and improving upon its past. The automaker recently unveiled an all-new Electra concept crossover in China, and it is truly a sight to behold.
This new take on an old Buick favorite now looks like something from another planet. Sleek lines and a sci-fi color scheme give it the appearance of a space capsule, and its interior is equally as futuristic. A suite of advanced infotainment and connective technologies will provide drivers with more behind-the-wheel power and control than ever before.
The new Electra will now ride on an electric platform and will be powered by a slew of next-gen technologies. A powerful Ultium battery will give it an impressive range of 410 miles on a single charge, and its electric motors will pump out a combined 583 horsepower.
This Electra concept is the latest step in Buick’s current push for an all-electric automotive future. “Building on Buick’s proven leadership in electrification, the Electra represents the brand’s ambition to bring together beautiful styling and intelligent connectivity in the new era of zero emissions,” said SAIC-GM’s Executive Director of Buick Sales and Marketing, Molly Peck.
While Buick’s lineup of electric vehicles has so far been exclusive to China, GM is fully invested in bringing these eco-friendly rides to Western markets. Until then, be sure to stop by Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase for a look at our lineup of new and used GM vehicles.
The Buick Encore has been a popular model for years and has often been one of the best-selling vehicles in the subcompact crossover segment. Since June, Buick has been producing the new 2021 Encore, which shows promise of continuing the model’s success.
The Bupyeong production plant stopped producing the 2020 Encore on May 29. Then, on June 1, the plant began producing the 2021 model. Based on the production start date, it’s expected that the 2021 Encore will be released in the spring of 2021.
The 2021 Encore is set to share many family-friendly features with the 2020 model and have some small changes. The new crossover is reducing its number of trim levels and will only be carrying over the base and Preferred trims.
Three new color options will be available for the 2021 Encore, and two color options are disappearing. In addition, the model will now come with Forward Collision Alert to provide your family with extra peace of mind when driving around Memphis, Tennessee.

Fans of the Envision will be ecstatic to learn that images from a Chinese GM partner, SAIC, have revealed the forthcoming compact crossover’s interior design will look like. The sales team at Sunrise Buick in Memphis, TN has compiled the most notable updates to the Envision below.
All-New Dashboard: The most eye-popping new detail from the 2021 Envision’s interior photos is the futuristic infotainment system. Expected to measure 10 inches diagonally, the sleek new screen is seamlessly integrated within the dashboard and turned 18 degrees towards the driver for a streamlined appearance.
Wireless Connectivity: Though Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ have both helped to revolutionize the way we integrate our smartphones with our cars, the technology has been slightly held back by its reliance on a corded connection. That is, until the 2021 Buick Envision hops on the scene. The newly redesigned crossover will allow for wireless connection to the popular platforms.
Avenir: As expected, the Avenir trim of the new 2021 Envision allows drivers to indulge in the highest level of decadence. Luxury lovers will adore heated/ventilated quilted leather seats with gorgeous two-tone upholstery.
Buick recently released photos of the redesigned 2021 Envision. From the interior to the exterior, the all-new SUV has no shortage of stylish design elements and family-friendly technologies to delight upon the SUV’s arrival in early 2021.
While the previous generation of the Envision has sleek curves and crisp lines, the 2021 model has a lower stance and wider proportions that give it a more athletic look. Furthermore, striking headlamps and angular accents complement the SUV’s overall appearance and add touches of elegance.
The cabin of the 2021 Envision is just as refined its exterior. It seamlessly incorporates innovative technologies that can entertain your whole family and keep you connected to loved ones on the go. With Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, you can send and receive messages, listen to your favorite playlists, and access a number of apps with ease.
You can stay up to date on important vehicle and navigation information without looking away from the road, thanks to the available Head-Up Display. Plus, you can have peace of mind knowing that standard Buick Driver Confidence features are working to protect you and your family on the road.

The Buick Encore has long been a customer favorite among Sunrise Buick’s clientele because of the subcompact SUV’s flexibility to appeal to new drivers, retirees, and young families alike. According to recently-released fourth-quarter sales data, it looks like the rest of the United States is hip to the Encore’s charms as well.
According to General Motors, the Buick Encore experienced a 22 percent growth in sales during the fourth quarter of 2019, catapulting the versatile crossover to become one of the country’s top five bestselling subcompact SUVs. The Encore sold a whopping 28,497 units in quarter four of 2019, significantly outpacing its prior-year total of 23,326. Over the entirety of 2019, the Encore sold a total of 102,402 units, accounting for a 10 percent year-over-year growth in sales.
One reason for the Encore’s recent popularity is growth in the subcompact crossover segment as a whole. From quarter three to quarter four, there was a 9.4 percent growth in the class the Encore belongs to. However, the sales associates at Sunrise Buick at Wolfchase know the spunky SUV’s popularity is a credit to its combination of affordability, sophistication, and convenience.

Automotive brands spent nearly $5 billion across the board on TV ads in 2019, which helped to spread the word about the latest cars on the market. WardsAuto ranks these ads every year, and, not surprisingly, Buick had the most seen car commercial in terms of views for 2019. The “Mistaken Identity” spot made a massive impression among a variety of groups.
“Mistaken Identity” revolves around the line, “Buick’s new lineup is full of surprises,” and it shows several cases of mistaken identity as Buick vehicles are confused for traditional, uninspired models. Often left scratching their heads, individuals realize they’ve been looking at the wrong car the whole time after being informed that the vibrant, exciting ride in front of them is one of Buick’s refreshed models.
Many car shoppers may not recognize the new, eye-catching Buicks, one reason the ad had a strong impact on viewers. The “Mistaken Identity” ad alone generated 5.7 billion TV ad impressions, and it cost $31.7 million to make and market — about half as much as some of the ads released by other automakers.
If you want to get up close and personal with some of the thrilling new vehicles showcased in the commercial “Mistaken Identity,” swing by Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase and see what all the fuss is about.
All-New Encore GX to Feature Three-Cylinder Engine
It was recently revealed that the upcoming 2020 Buick Encore GX is expected to feature an all-new three-cylinder engine, marking the return of one of GM’s innovative engines.
Three-Cylinder Engine: General Motors announced that the new 2020 Buick Encore GX would utilize a three-cylinder 1.3L engine. Though three-cylinder Buicks have recently been produced for other markets, this marks the first time in nearly 20 years that GM has offered a vehicle with a three-cylinder engine in North America. New technological innovations, including updated waste gates and water pumps, mean these engines will be peppier and more fuel-efficient than past iterations.
All-New Encore GX: The all-new Encore GX’s three-cylinder engine isn’t the only thing the small SUV has going for it. The Encore GX, which aims to fill the gap between the compact Encore and the small Envision, will come with standard safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist. Other available features include a Rear Camera Mirror and HD Surround Vision Camera. Additionally, the Encore GX is expected to offer five more cubic feet of cargo space than the Encore.
The all-new 2020 Buick Encore GX is expected to arrive on dealership lots in early 2020. Call a team member at Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase today so you can be the first to know when the SUV arrives.
