The 2022 GMC Acadia will get a lot of exciting updates for the new model year. Not only does it ditch the previous model year’s two-row option in favor of a three-row option with a six- or seven-seat layout. But you can also expect updates to engine options and trim levels, among other things.
The 2022 Acadia boasts a more powerful base engine. Instead of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that outputs 193 horsepower, this model gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 that produces 228 horsepower, for more potency without sacrificing efficiency.
Thrill-seekers should choose the available 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Delivering robust performance, this engine is available on the SLT trim and standard on the AT4 and the Denali.
For the 2022 model year, GMC has swapped out the base SL trim with the SLE trim. Both of these come standard with an 8-inch touch screen GMC Infotainment System and GMC Pro Safety Plus, a suite of safety technologies including Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Intellibeam headlights.
The SLE and SLT are still followed by the AT4 off-roading trim and the luxury Denali trim. These didn’t get any major upgrades for the new model year — but who’s complaining when these two trims are satisfying just the way they are.
The 2017 model year of the GMC Acadia brought
an all-new, technology-packed, family-friendly SUV to the market with a
complete redesign. Now, the Acadia nameplate is due for a mid-cycle update.
We’re shining a spotlight on the refreshed GMC Acadia Denali trim level, including
its more spacious cabin, a new standard engine, and updates to the exterior.
Under the hood, the 2020 GMC Acadia Denali runs
on a standard turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that lashes out 230 horsepower
and 258 lb-ft of torque. It also includes a brand-new 9-speed automatic
transmission. One of the most innovative features on the new Acadia is the push-button
digital gear shifter, which frees up space in the cabin to create more
passenger volume and cargo space.
Inside, drivers and passengers will find
luxuries such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated
navigation, as well as a wireless phone charger and insulated cabin that
reduces wind and engine noise. Outside, features like power-folding mirrors, a
hands-free power liftgate, and high-class touches — like chrome accents and
20-inch wheels — are sure to draw attention to the refreshed GMC Acadia Denali.
The all-LED exterior lights comes with a reshaped design as part of the updates to the front
