Known as the birthplace of rock-n-roll and the home of the
blues, Memphis is the perfect place to celebrate autumn’s bounty of local music,
art, and brews. Here are three fall festivals worth attending this season.
Oktoberfest – Oct. 5
Olive Branch City Park is hosting the 42nd annual Olive Branch Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 5. Admission is free to the public, so you’ll have a bit more cash to splurge on food and beverages. Crafts and games help round out the festivities for a family-friendly day of fun.
Pink Palace Crafts
Fair – Oct. 11-13
Celebrate the plethora of homemade crafts in the Memphis area when you participate in the Pink Palace Crafts Fair the weekend of Oct. 11-13. Now in its 47th year, this festival spotlights the work of more than 100 local crafters in a variety of mediums, including pottery, glasswork, wood-working, woven goods, jewelry, and more. Child-friendly attractions like the petting zoo and train rides will help young ones stay engaged. Live music and a spectrum of food and drink offerings make this fair the complete package.
Festival – Oct. 19
Set on the scenic banks of the Mississippi River, the River Arts Fest is an extravaganza for the visual and aural arts. It attracts more than 180 musicians and artisans from the Memphis area and beyond, making it one of the largest outdoor juried artist market and urban street festivals in the Mid-South, according to Memphis Travel. Hands-on art activities and artist demonstrations offer interactive fun for attendees of all ages.
We here at Sunrise Buick GMC at Wolfchase hope to see you at one or more of these popular fall festivals. If your vehicle is in need of seasonal maintenance, contact us to schedule a service appointment. We’re here to ensure that your autumnal outings are as safe as they are pleasant.
