The vehicle purchasing and research website iSeeCars.com recently named GMC vehicles among the market’s longest-lasting after analyzing over 15.8 million units to determine which brands most often hit the 200,000-mile mark.
An impressive 1.4 percent of GMC vehicles reached the 200,000-mile milestone, placing it among the top of the longest-lasting brands and significantly exceeding the 1.0 percent average among all automakers. GMC ranked above other recognizable American brands such as Chevrolet and Ford.
The GMC Yukon XL surpassed even more checkpoints than the rest of GMC’s lineup. iSeeCars placed the full-size SUV in the top five vehicles most likely to reach 300,000 miles. The Yukon XL’s rate of models with over 200,000 miles is more than six times that of the national average.
GMC’s dominance shines through in the SUV and truck categories, with two of the automaker’s models making the top 10 in each group. The Sierra 1500 and the Canyon made the truck list, and the Yukon XL and Yukon were near the top of the SUV segment.
